  • Premature Ejaculation
Premature Ejaculation, just the very word strikes fear in most men. What many men do not realise is that it is surprisingly common. Premature Ejaculation (PE) is when a man ejaculates too early on during sex. It is often just as the man penetrates the vagina or seconds after.

This can cause a lot of embarrassment and frustration as in some cases, sex can be nearly impossible. So much so, that many men prefer to avoid sex altogether causing anger and frustration between partners which ultimately has negative effects on a relationship.

    What Causes Premature Ejaculation?

There are many factors for Premature Ejaculation. The good news is many of the underlying causes for Premature Ejaculation are psychological.
    • Stress – At work, home or otherwise can have an impact on your sex life.
    • Performance Anxiety – This is especially common with someone new, the pressure to perform and satisfy can be so overwhelming that nerves take over and this interferes with performance.
    • Masturbating too often – While not a bad thing, if done excessively, the body soon ends up climaxing quickly in habit.
    • Confidence issues and low self-esteem – Insecurity with body image, penis size or other reasons can affect confidence and sexual performance.
Physical reasons may include hormonal imbalances (though this is not common) inexperience and even abstinence, where you have gone a long time without sexual activity.

    What Can Be Done?

Premature Ejaculation can be treated very successfully once the cause is established. Severe cases of PE that do not respond to psychological and self-help techniques or natural therapies can be treated by medication prescribed by a doctor.

For the occasional or mild PE some things you can try to prevent or lessen the chances of PE include:
    • Natural based supplements, especially those containing Zinc and L-Arginine, these are scientifically proven to help to increase blood flow and strengthen and promote the general health of the penis resulting in longer-lasting erections.
    • Local anaesthetic gel. Some men like to apply this to the shaft of the penis just before intercourse to desensitize to prevent PE, however, if you are sensitive or allergic to the ingredients it can cause irritation, stinging and redness and can make sex less pleasurable for your partner. Special condoms containing anaesthetic, usually Benzocaine can also be used.
    • The Stop-Start technique. This is where the man masturbates to the point of climax and then stops. It should be repeated three times, allowing himself to ejaculate on the fourth time. If practiced regularly this can help to control ejaculation.
Some couples benefit from sexual therapy. Visiting a sex therapist can help you to learn new ways to control Premature Ejaculation  build your confidence and get back on the road to start enjoying sex again.

Whatever method of treatment you choose; rest assured that Premature Ejaculation is treatable and it does not have to get in the way of an enjoyable sex life.

    Your Semen and You

  • Semen, or cum, is actually made up of ninety percent (90%) seminal fluids including fructose (sugar) and proteins; sperm accounts for only about one percent (1%) of its total volume and the rest is made up of trace minerals and nutrients.

Many guys are concerned with what their semen tastes like. This may rise from the fact that they want to score blow jobs. First of all, you can stress to your partner that semen will not make a person fat. It contains only about 12 to 15 calories per ejaculation; the same amount found in gelatin or egg white.

Some people say that semen tastes bitter, salty, or even acrid. So for loads of exciting fun in the bedroom, you can make your partner swallow your cum if you make your cum taste better.

Since semen is excreted by the body, its taste and smell would most likely be affected by what you eat and drink. What is the best diet for better-tasting cum?

For one, you should start living a clean and healthy lifestyle. Say no to alcohol, drugs and nicotine. Avoid junk foods and instead have lots of fruits and greens in your diet. Plus, drink a lot of liquids (water).

Drinking fruit juices from pineapple, citrus, and cranberry is also known to make your cum taste sweeter. Throw in melon, mango, apple, or grape, and other fruits that are high in sugar. Likewise, vegetables like parsley and celery are recommended.

There are also some foods that you should steer clear of. Fish and red meat produce a bitter, fishy taste because of their alkaline content. Chemically-processed alcohol can also make your semen taste bitter. Instead, try naturally fermented drinks for a change. Garlic and onion are likely to produce strong odors since they are high in sulfur; so lay off on these.

A better-tasting semen is good; but having extra loads of better-tasting semen is better. The volume of your load depends upon a number of concerns, including age, heredity, and general health. We practically can’t change our age and genetics, but we could instead make dietary adjustments. There are various supplements that you can take like zinc oxide, Horny Goat Weed, L-Arginine, L-Lysine which are supposed to boost quantity of your load.

By simply increasing your fluid intake, you can increase the amount of your ejaculation. When your body is well hydrated, your body systems are able to work more efficiently and have less trouble getting water from the bloodstream.

The most important to remember, though, is to keep yourself healthy and fit. Regular exercise encourages good blood circulation, which in turn, aids ejaculation. Also, refrain from wearing tight clothing especially in the crotch area since it can decrease sperm count.

Premature Ejaculation: More Than Just Embarrassment

  • About 70% of sexually active men would have suffered an episode of premature ejaculation sometime or the other in their lives. While a one off PE episode is not worrisome, the problem takes on larger proportions when it occurs almost every time.

PE (Premature Ejaculation) is defined as ejaculation that happens right before, during or immediately after vaginal entry.

PE can exist from childhood itself and is categorized as primary type PE. On the other hand, when the problem develops during adulthood, it is known as secondary PE.

While PE is no doubt very embarrassing, it also leads to low self-esteem, sexual frustration and even break-up of a relationship. Anxiety about performance adds to the problem since men who worry about PE, often tend to ejaculate too soon. Anxiety about a small penis size and unrealistic comparison with peer’s can also lead to PE.

If one is unable to maintain an erection long enough, the chances of premature ejaculation also increase drastically. The relationship between PE and erectile dysfunction is therefore an obvious one.

You need not suffer from premature ejaculation for life. The problem is treatable and you can enjoy a full and satisfying life once more. There are medical treatments here that should be taken only under the supervision of a doctor since they come with their share of side effects. Jelqing and Kegels are known to help too. The start-stop and stop-squeeze methods are also said to be effective. However, sadly none of these treatments are permanent. PE is more of a psychological problem than a physical one. Therefore, the cure must also involve a metal boost.

Interestingly, it has been observed that increasing a person’s ability to maintain an erection does help prevent the occurrence of PE. The theory behind this science states that PE occurs mostly due to low sexual self esteem. Men who suffer from ED often tend to suffer from depression also and feel worthless in bed. This feeling contributes to enhancing episodes of PE. Being able to maintain a strong and long lasting erection gives men confidence to perform thus enable them to avoid PE episodes.

In short improving erectile function will help in lowering premature ejaculation instances too. So you need to consider methods to increase blood supply to the penis, if you are suffering from frequent episodes of PE. Increased blood supply will help in the bettering the erection quality, which in turn will help in increasing self esteem in bed and thereby cure PE.
